Srinagar: Government forces on Friday launched a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in a village in Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said.

They said troops of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, CRPF and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint CASO in village Devar, Tral, following a tip off about the presence of militants.

Forces sealed all exit points and launched searches in the village, they said, adding that so far, no contact has been established with the militants. Details are awaited, they added.
