Pulwama: Government forces last night rounded up at least six youths from teo villages of Pampore in Pulwama district.

Reports said government forces conducted predawn raids in Khrew and Samboora villages and arrested six youth. the houses of several youth. During the night raids, Special Operations Group (SOG) men picked up at least Six youth for their alleged involvement in unlawful activities.

Sources said five youth were picked up from Khrew village while as one youth was detained from Samboora Pampore.

A police official confirmed the detention of youth but added that they were involved in various unlawful activities.

“They are being questioned for their role in stone throwing incidents. We have evidence of their involvement in unlawful activities,” a police official said.
