Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday urged the party workers to reach out to the workers of other parties and apprise them about the current political situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mufti, who is touring the south Kashmir villages, asked the party workers, in Anantnag, to keep their party differences aside and stand united to ensure the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir is protected.

Addressing media, Mufti said: “Our own political difference can wait, while we need to face the challenge at the hand.”

She appealed the workers to reach out to the workers and sympathisers of National Conference, Congress and BJP to explain to them the purported assault being hatched on the constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir.
