Srinagar: The armies of India and Pakistan Friday morning exchanged heavy shelling and firing along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said that many areas including Balnoi and Dhabraj of Mankote tehsil of Mendhar are under intense shelling from Pakistan army, which started at 8:00 in the morning. 

Some shells have fallen into the residential areas, creating panic among the local populace. No loss of life has been reported so far.

Sources said that Indian army was also retaliating effectively to the Pakistani firing.
