Srinagar: Unidentified persons during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday allegedly tried to set ablaze a polling station located at Auqaf building Tujgari mohalla in Nowhatta by throwing petrol on its entry gate.

Reports said that, however, with the timely intervention of police, the building was secured from catching fire.

Police officials said that in the incident only gate suffered minor damages while as the Auqaf building housing Librarywas completely safe.

They said that a manhunt has been launched to trace the people behind the act. (KNO)
