Istanbul:  Iran threatened to add United States army to its terrorism list if Washington designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group, a senior Iranian lawmaker said on Sunday.

Heshmatollah Falahat Pishe, chairman of the Iran’s parliament’s National Security said that the Iranian parliament on Saturday prepared a motion in this regard, which says “Iran will consider the US army as a terrorist organisation if the United States designates the IRGC a terrorist group.”

Western media reported on Friday that the United States is expected to designate the IRGC a terrorist organisation.
