Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has strongly condemned the summoning of his other son Dr. Naeem-ul-Zaffer Geelani by National Investigation Agency (NIA) and said that “Indian rulers and its agencies have stooped to the lowest level of moral and ethical bankruptcy, which no sane person can even think of”.

Geelani said that he has been caged in four walled residence for the last nine years, not to talk of any political activity.

“I have not been allowed to attend any social function also, after putting a siege around me they have targeted my family particularly two sons. Earlier my younger son Dr. Naseem Geelani was summoned by both NIA & ED and now my elder son Dr. Naeem has been called by NIA to Delhi,” he said.

He said that Naeem is a heart paitent under regular supervision of doctors and psychological stress can be very fatel for him.

Hurriyat (G) chairman said that if questioning anybody including his son is must, it could have done in the valley.

The pro-freedom leader said that “Delhi rulers and its agencies” harassed his family just to pressurize him.

“But these cowardly acts will yield nothing for them,” he said

He said that in 2017 also, when ghost of NIA threatened every freedom loving person, particularly their families including common man and businessman, they  voluntarily offered to get  questioned by the investigating agency.

“But very cunningly the authorities didn’t dare to face us,” Geelani stated.

“I have consciously and will fully adopted this torturous and thorny path of perusing the movement for the basic and fundamental rights of my nation, and no power on earth can deter me from this holly mission,” Geelani stated.

Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman said that such maneuvering, much hyped-drama and sensational media narratives may have electoral dividends for the ruling class, but can’t stay stay for too long.

Meanwhile, strongly condemning the incident in Srinagar Central jail, where dozens of inmates were lathicharged, fired upon and injured, Geelani said that Kashmiries neither safe in their houses nor outside and now jails are also unsafe from them.
