Srinagar: Forces on Sunday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Qazigund in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.

Official sources said that following specific information about presence of militants, a joint search operation was launched by Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police, Army and CRPF in Panzath, Qazigund on Sunday.

“Forces were conducting house-to-house searches,” they said, adding searches were also going on in nearby fields.
“The operation was going on when the reports last came in,” they added.
