NC protests in Srinagar against ‘custodial killing’ of school teacher

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Thursday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar against the custodial killing of school teacher and Jama’at activist Rizwan Asad.

Led by senior leaders Ali Muhammad Sagar, Nasir Sogami and Mubarak Gul the protesters while chanting anti-BJP slogans  demanded “exemplary punishment” to the killers of Rizwan.

The protesters marched from party headquarters at Nawa-e-Subh complex towards Lal Chowk. However, they were stopped by a posse of police at Tourist Reception Centre.

Pandith was killed in police custody days after he was picked up from his home in Awantipora.
