Srinagar: Stating that the preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary elections are going on, the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said that any pre-poll alliance between the political parties won’t deter the party to emerge victorious on all the six seats.
BJP’s State General Secretary (organization), Ashok Koul said the preparations for the upcoming elections are going on effectively in Jammu and Kashmir.
About the selection of candidates for upcoming parliamentary polls, Koul said the BJP’s parliamentary board is sitting today in New Delhi to make the names of candidates public.
“We have finalized candidates for six parliamentary constituencies and the list will be submitted today in the meeting following which the board will take any decision in this regard,” Koul said.
He added that pre-poll alliance between political parties including National Conference (NC) and Congress won’t deter the BJP to carry out its mission to emerge victorious on all six seats in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
“We are very much confident to secure all the six seats in parliamentary polls,” he said, adding that BJP is fully focused on all the three regions including Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. “Our priority is not any single division but the whole state,” he added.
