Banihal: The Srinagar-Jammu highway was on Monday afternoon shut for vehicular movement following landslides in Banihal area of the Ramban district.

Officials said that landslide occurred at Kharpora area of Banihal and blocked the road.

“The traffic has been halted. Men and machinery has been deployed to clear the road of the blockade,” he said.

“One-way traffic from Srinagar to Jammu will be allowed only after the landslide is cleared,” he said.
