Curfew relaxed in Jammu district temporarily

Jammu: Authorities temporarily relaxed the ongoing curfew in Jammu for a few hours Wednesday.

The curfew, which was imposed on February 15, has been relaxed in all parts of the district from 8 am to 12 noon., an official said.

However, all educational institutes will remain shut and the exams scheduled for Wednesday have been postpones. New dates will be announced soon, the authorities said. Mobile Internet services also remained suspended for the sixth consecutive day.

The curfew was imposed after rightwing hindutva mobsters and arsonists torched vehicles and damaged several others carrying number plates of Kashmir and pelted stones on residential quarters of Kashmiris.
