Jammu: A woman died on Friday when she was run over by a train here in city outskirts.

“A woman identified as Usha Devi, 36, wife of Ashok Kumar, resident of Chak, Udhampur this afternoon was hit by a train near Channi railway track,” police here said.

The lady died on the spot and the body was shifted to the mortuary. The family has been informed, police said.
