Pampore: Scores of residents of Drangbal area of Pampore township in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Thursday held a protest demonstration against the unscheduled power cuts.

Eyewitnesses said the scores of residents mostly women raised slogans against the Power Development Department and blocked the vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar highway which led to a massive traffic jam on the highway.

Later, AEE PDD Pampore and SHO Pampore rushed to the spot and assured the protesters that their power supply issue would be addressed on priority basis.
