Srinagar: An IED (Improvised explosive device) weighing approximately 20 kgs planted on Bandipora-Srinagar road was defused Thursday.
The IED, an official said, was planted on the road side at Aragam village near Wular Vintage Park
The official said that the ROP (Road opening Party) of 13RR from Aragam to Wular Vintage saw a suspicious wire which was then substantiated by ED dog. The area was cordoned off and police Bomb Disposal Squad was called and the IED was defused.
