After becoming ‘festival spot’, forces blast underground hideout used by AGH militants in Tral

Srinagar: Government Forces on Wednesday morning blasted the hideout used by militants in Armpora Tral village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

On December 22, six militants from Zakir Musa led Ansar Ghazwatul Hind were killed beside the said hideout.

They were identified as Sahil Ahmed Akhoon from Armpora, Rasik Ahmed Mir, Rouf Ahmed Mir, Omar Ramzan, all residents of Dadsara Tral, Nadeem Ahmed Sofi of Batagund and Faisal Javaid Khanday of Amlar Tral.

After the incident, thousands of people thronged Armpora to have glimpse of this ‘sophisticated’ hideout. Locals said that people from all across Kashmir visited this hideout from past four days.

A police official said that the said hideout had become a ‘festival spot’ where people thronged in large numbers.  He confirmed that it was blasted on Wednesday morning.
