Intense clashes erupt in south Kashmir’s Tral following militant killings

Srinagar: Intense clashes between government forces and civilian protesters erupted in parts of Tral in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district following killings of sic militants in a gunfight in Armpora village.

Eyewitnesses said that youths took to streets and held massive pro-freedom protest demonstrations. Forces deployed at various spots thwarted the demonstrations prompting youths to pelt stones.

They said that forces used tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the protesters.

The clashes were going on when this report was being filed.

Six AGH militants including its deputy chief Sualeh Aakhoon were killed in a gunfight with government forces today morning.
