Train service to remain suspended on Monday

Srinagar: Authorities have decided to suspend train services in Kashmir on Monday in wake of the strike called by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Human Rights Day.

A railway official told that the decision to suspend train service has been taken as a precautionary measure in wake of apprehension of law and order.

The JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for complete protest strike on December 10, Monday, to highlight to international community the “gruesome human rights situation” in Kashmir.
