Doctors-attendants clash, law and order problem breaks out in Rajouri

Jammu: Tense situation broke out in after a group of doctors and hospital staff of district hospital clashed with some attendants over some issue in Rajouri town of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The attendants of the patients, who were admitted due to an accident case in the district hospital alleged that they were not given proper treatment by the staff, which led to scuffle this morning,” police source here said.

Two persons were killed and 21 injured of marriage party when a tempo traveler they were travelling in met with an accident in Dharamsal area of Rajouri on Monday evening.

“The doctors and the attendants of the injured persons exchanged heated words which led to scuffle and tension broke out,” sources said.

Meanwhile an eyewitness alleged that the doctors and hospital staff thrashed the attendants.
Police rushed to the spot and resorted to mild lathi-charge to disperse them.

The doctors and entire hospital staff went on strike and also blocked the road, they added.

District administration officers also reached to the spot and intervened to settle the matter.
