Srinagar: Scores of students of north campus of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) at Wadoora Sopore on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the Kulgam civilian and militant killings.

Reports said that scores of students of the varsity campus including females assembled in the premises of the University and shouted anti-government and pro-freedom slogans.

The students protested the civilian killings and held a peaceful protest at the campus. The students also expressed solidarity with the families of the slain.

Seven civilians were killed and more than 40 injured in post encounter blast and clashes with government forces on Sunday.

Three Jaish militants were in the encounter at Laroo village of southern Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
