Yasin Malik arrested, shifted to Kothi Bagh police station

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairperson Muhhamd Yasin Malik from his Masiuma residence, a spokesperson of JKLF said.

He said that a contingent of police cordoned Malik’s residence in the wee hours and arrested him.

The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Muhammad Yasin Malik have called for a shutdown on today against the killing of a civilian, Muhammad Saleem Malik, at Noorbagh area of Srinagar.

Police sources said that Malik was arrested and shifted to Kothi Bagh police station.
