JRL calls for shutdown on Friday against ‘barbaric’ killing of civilians, arrest spree

Srinagar: The joint resistance leadership on Thursday called for a complete shutdown on against the killing of a civilian by government forces in Noorbagh Srinagar.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a tweet said that JRL asks people to protest by observing a complete hartal tomorrow Friday September 28 against the continued gruesome and barbaric killing of Kashmiris at the hands of India forces, arrest spree of resistance activists and supporters.

“State terror has been unleashed under CASO to wipe out and harass Kashmir’s unabashedly,” he tweeted.

Pertinently civilian identified as Muhammad Saleem Malik was killed by government forces during a cordon and search operation in Noorbagh area of Srinagar city.

The slain civilian was laid to rest at martyrs graveyard amid massive anti-India and pro-freedom sloganeering. reports said that thousands of people participated in the funeral praters of the slain civilian.
