Active Lashkar militants house set ablaze in southern Kashmir’s Shopian

Srinagar: The house of an active Lashkar-e-Toiba militant was on Thursday set ablaze in southern Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The house belonged to Ghulam Mohammad Paul, the father of Adil Ahmad, a local militant associated with Lashkar-e-Toiba, at Maldair village of Shopian.

Local sources said that the fire appeared in the house of Paul’s at 3 am during night damaging it partially.

It could not be immediately known who tried to set the house on fire, however, in another incident, the family of slain Hizb commander Sameer Tiger accused the government forces of sprinkling kerosene on their house and setting it on fire.
