Amit Shah wonders whether Rahul Gandhi has made a common cause with Pakistan

New Delhi:  BJP chief Amit Shah on Saturday made a veiled attack on Congress president for making same cause with Pakistani leaders and wondered whether Rahul Gandhi is ‘forming’ an international Mahagathbandhan.

“Rahul Gandhi says ‘Modi Hatao’. Pakistan says ‘Modi Hatao’. Now Pakistan also supports Rahul Gandhi’s baseless allegations against PM Modi,” Mr Shah tweeted on a day the BJP and the Congress resorted to using unprecedented harsh words to take each other over Rafale deal and other corruption scams with just a few months remaining for the next year’s parliamentary polls.

“Is Congress forming an International Mahagathbandhan against PM Modi?,” the BJP chief wrote in the micro blogging site.

Congress President Mr Gandhi made a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference taking a cue former French president Francois Hollande’s remark suggesting that Anil Ambani’s Reliance Defence as Dassault Aviation’s Indian partner was selected in the Rs 58,000 crore Rafale jet fighter deal at the instance of the Indian government.

Mr Gandhi said none other than Prime Minister himself handled the negotiations in favour of Anil Ambani’s company. BJP leader and Union Minister described Rahul Gandhi’s family as ‘source’ of corruption in India.

The BJP President in his message also refers to the tweet from Ch Fawad Hussain, Pakistan’s Information Minister, who retweeted Rahul Gandhi’s missive against Prime Minister Modi and wrote:

“These tweets explain BJP-led Tirade against Pakistan, Apni Jang Khud Lado #RafaleDeal”.

Meanwhile, a number of BJP leaders and Union Ministers lashed out at Rahul Gandhi on Twitter using hashtag ‘#RahulKaPuraKhandanChor’.

“From the Jeep Scam of 1948 when Nehru was the PM, to Indira Gandhi’s infamous election scandal of 1971 among others. From Rajiv Gandhi’s Bofors deal to a barrage of scams, frauds & scams of UPA. The family has kept itself busy with self-development,” wrote Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said: “Out on bail Rahul Gandhi & his family have long been the primary source of corruption in the country. They are today blaming Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi in the Rafael deal, who has given India its most honest administration since Independence”.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar wrote: “Rahul Gandhiji, in case you need to know – Mundra Jeep scam to Bofors to CWG Scams to National Herald – only one family is involved, guess whose?”
