Srinagar:National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday called for an all-party meeting today to discuss the issues related to urban local bodies and Panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said that an all-party meeting will be held in Srinagar with all recognized political parties to elicit their views on various important issues.

Both the main regional parties’ National Conference(NC) and People’s Democratic Party(PDP) have already decided to boycott the upcoming polls, while Jammu and Kashmir’s Pradesh Congress is yet to decide.JK PCC Chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that currently, the ground situation in the Valley is not conducive for holding these polls.
