Srinagar: Intense blaze on Thursday gutted two residential houses and a cowshed in Kangan area of Ganderbal district.

Reports said that in Surfraw village of Kangan, a fire broke out in the residential house of Abdul Rahman Khatana, son of Goga Khatana and Shabir Ahmad Khatana, son of Abdul Aziz Khatana, at Gujar Pati resulting in damage to both the houses. The fire also spread to the neighboring cowshed.

“The fire was very intense and could have spread to other neighboring houses, however, the timely action of firefighters prevented the fire to spread,” locals said.

Officials told The Kashmir Press that no loss of life or injuries to anyone was reported in the incident.
