Pakistan observing mourning day today

Islamabad: Pakistan is observing mourning day on Sunday to express solidarity with the families of victims of recent terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

The National Flag is flying at half mast on the occasion, Pakistan Daily Dawn news said.

The announcement to this effect was made by Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk in Islamabad on Saturday.

A three-day mourning was announced by Balochistan Government in the province in the wake of tragic Mastung incident.

Around 129 martyrs of Friday’s terrorist attack in Mastung, including Balochistan Awami leader Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, have been laid to rest at their ancestral home towns and villages.

The funeral prayer of Siraj Raisani was offered in Moosa Stadium in Quetta Cantonment. Later, his coffin was taken to his native town Kanak by helicopter where he was laid to rest in the Martyrs’ Graveyard. UNI
