South Kashmir: Sadam Paddar’s brother among three detained in night raids

Sronagar: Brothers of three slain Hizb militants were detained by government forces during nocturnal raids in this south Kashmir district.

Shakir Ahmad Padder, brother of slain Hizb commander Saddam Padder and Sayeel Ahmad Wani, brother of slain militant Nasir Ahmad Wani were picked up from their homes in Heff village by government forces during a nocturnal raid, sources said.

In a similar raid in Maldair village, government forces detained a youth identified as Suhail Ahmad,son of Ghulam Muhammad Sheikh, witnesses said. Ahmad is brother of slain militant Irfan-ul-Haq, media reports said.

“We will verify if the arrests have been made,” police officials said.
