JRL calls for shutdown, observing of civil curfew on Saturday over shifting of Asiya Andrabi to Delhi

Srinagar: Joint resistance leadership on Friday called for a complete shutdown in Kashmir valley and asked people to observe civil curfew on Saturday over the shifting of  chief of Dukhtaran-e- Milat Asiya Andrabi and two of her aides to New Delhi by National Investigation Agency (NIA).

In a statement issued here the  Joint Resistance leadership comprising  Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Dr. Mohammad Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik took  a strong note of shifting of  Asiya  Andrabi, along with her two associates, Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen to Delhi by the Indian National Investigation agency (NIA) and called for a complete shutdown on Saturday

The Leaders condemned the ‘brazen and dastard action’ of NIA and termed it the worst form of political vengeance and vendetta against the resistance leadership.

JRL made a fervent appeal to the Kashmiri people  to observe complete shutdown and maintain civil curfew on 7 July 2018 against the shifting of Asia Indrabi and her associates to Delhi by the NIA.

Earlier the National Investigation Agency (NIA)  registered a case of sedition against Asiya Andrabi, and shifted her to New Delhi where she was to appear before a court.
