Government cancels attachments of all govt. employees, asks them repatriate to their parent departments 

‘If anyone fails to join back, salaries will be stopped’

Srinagar: The government has cancelled the attachment of all the government employees citing ensuring of smooth functioning of departments as the prime reason.

“With a view to ensuring smooth functioning of various departments/offices the instructions are hereby issued for compliance by all concerned,” an order issued by the General Administration(GAD) said.

The order said that the the employees presently on attachment with their respective or other departments/offices shall be repatriated to their parent department/organization, with immediate effect.

It further warned stoppage of salary in case any official fails to join the parent department.

“Any official who fails to join his parent department/organization after detachment, his salary shall be stopped from the month of July, 2018 by the concerned Drawing & Disbursing Officer (DDO), failing which the concerned DDO will be held responsible,” the order read.

The order further said that in cases where continuation of an employee on attachment is warranted under exceptional circumstances, the department concerned shall process his case for approval of the concerned advisor for extension in his period of attachment which shall not exceed more than six months.

The concerned Administrative Secretary while certifying compliance of the above directions shall submit a report in this regard to the General Administration Department by 16.07.2018,” the order added.
