Srinagar: At least two cars were damaged after Chinar tree fell on them due to gusty winds on Tuesday.

Reports said that the branches of a Chinar tree broke off due to strong winds and fell on two cars parked inside the varsity, mangling one of them.

There was no report of any loss of life or injuries in the incident.

Strong winds coupled by a short spell of heavy rains on Tuesday evening also damaged a tin-shed and an electricity transmission police in Munawarabad area of Srinagar.
