Srinagar: The army has asked media to use correct ‘military terms’ while writing about their articles on the army.

“It has been observed that articles pertaining to the Army published in your newspaper are using the term Trooper for the Army personnel which is incorrect,” the Srinagar based 15 corps military headquarters stated in a press release titled “Use of correct military terms”.

“You are requested to use either Soldiers or Troops while referring to Army personnel in all such Articles in the future”.
