Unknown persons attack CRPF man with chilli powder in Humhama

Srinagar: Unidentified persons on Tuesday tried to snatch a weapon of a constable of B/35Bn Central Reserve Police force (CRPF) at Humhama chowk of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district after throwing chilli powder at him.

However, the CRPF personnel resisted and foiled the “weapon snatching bid”.

Reports said that the attackers who were 3 in number were not carrying any weapon but were unarmed.

The attackers after throwing the chilly powder managed to escape from the spot.

However, police officials said that it could not be established whether it was a weapon snatching bid, but, he said, the persons threw chilli powder at the CRPF personnel and escaped without attempting to snatch weapon.

However, a manhunt has been launched to nab the persons.
