Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday arrested two employees of JLNM hospital Rainawari for allegedly misappropriating the medicines supplied to the hospital by the government.

A statement issued to the press said  that a case under FIR No 47/2018 U/S RPC 409 RPC was registered at Police Station Rainawari after inputs from reliable sources that some “employees of JLNM Hospital Rainawari were misappropriating the Government supply medicines from the said hospital and are selling these medicines to some medical shopkeepers.” the statement read.

It stated two employees – a pharmacist and a sweeper – of the hospital were questioned by the police. “On their disclosure, four boxes of medicine “METOCLOPRAMIDE INJECTION I.P” were recovered and subsequently both the employees were arrested,”

Further investigation of the case is going on and further arrests are expected in the case, said the statement.
