Three militants trapped in Pulwama village: DGP Vaid

Srinagar: The Director General of police Shesh Paul Vaid on Friday said that three militants were trapped in Chatapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

“Encounter in Pulwama, reportedly 3 terrorists trapped, exchange of fire going on. Details follow,” (Sic). Vaid wrote on his twitter handle.

Earlier an encounter between government forces and militants broke out in the area.

Reports had said that top Lashkar militant Naveed Jatt was among the trapped militants.

At least ten people have been injured in clashes  between youth and government forces near the gunfight site.
