Srinagar :Massive clashes on Friday erupted near the site of the gunfight at Srigufwara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District and in the adjoining areas.

Reports said that youth pelted stones on the forces to disrupt their operation against the besieged militants, believed to be four in number.

A civilian Mohammad Yousuf who is said to be owner of the house in which militants are hiding has died after receiving bullet injuries in cross firing. His wife was also injured at the sight of the gunfight. She has been referred to SKIMS srinagar for further treatment.

Two army men are also said to be injured.
