UN report reflected ground situation of Jammu and Kashmir-Waza

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad waza on Monday said that the UN report reflected the ground situation of “occupied Kashmir” and detailed how the people of the territory were denied all freedoms and justice.

He said while visiting the residence of slain Sheeraz Ahmad of Brakpora Islamabad and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

Waza also welcomed the UN report that highlighted the “gross human rights violations” by Indian troops in the territory.

Paying glowing tributes to slain Sheeraz Ahmad, he said Kashmiri youth are spilling their blood for the cause of freedom and self-determination who had given unprecedented sacrifices for Kashmir cause which would not be allowed to go waste.

He added that Kashmiris are peace-loving people and wanted the settlement of Kashmir dispute through peaceful means and in accordance with their aspirations.

“The permanent peace in the region would remain a dream till the resolution of Kashmir dispute through tripartite dialogue among Pakistan, India and genuine Kashmiri”.
