Teenager drowns after saving child in Srinagar

A 16-year-old student drowned after he saved a small child from drowning in river Jehlum in Srinagar, sources said.

Sources said that a small boy fell into river Jehlum at Armwari Zero Bridge.

Meanwhile another youth Shakir Wani, an 11th class student, who was present in the area immediately jumped into the river and saved the boy.

However, he could not come out from the river and drowned, they said adding the body has been recovered.
