Government forces arrested two youth in Shahgund village of Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district during the nocturnal raids in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday..

Sources said that the police raided the house of Muhammad Shafi Dar in Shahgund village around 11:30 pm, with an intention to make his arrest. “He was not home so they picked up his brother Mohammad Rafiq,” he said.

Another boy Javaid Ahmad Dar was also detained in the night raid at same village.

The family members alleged that they have been detained for no fault of his.

They said that they had never been part of any stone-throwing protest in the area.
