Suspected militants on Wednesday late night shot and injured a Special Police Officer SPO in South Kashmir’s Shopian district. Sources said that the militants fired up on an SPO identified as Rayees Ahmad lone of Kathohalan. During the firing the cop sustained multiple bullets and is said to be critical. Srinagar: Militants lobbed a hand grenade at Lassipora police station located in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. As per initial reports, the grenade explosion was followed by an exchange of firing. So far, no loss of life or injury was reported. Reportedly, the militants escaped from the spot.
