Udhampur, Aug 20: Two minors were killed when a mud house collapsed due to landslides in Samole village in Muttal area of Udhampur district on intervening night of Friday and Saturday, an official said.

An official said  that soon after getting information, rescue teams rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of duo from the debris of the house.

He identified them as Arif aged 3 years and two month-old Gani, sons of Billason from Jasana Samole. He said several other houses in the area were also damaged.

Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his grief over the incident and directed officials to provide necessary assistance to the affected family.

“Extremely pained by the loss of lives due to house collapse in Muttal, Udhampur. My deepest condolences to bereaved family in this hour of grief. Directed district administration to provide necessary assistance to the affected family,” tweeted Sinha.
