COVID-19: J&K reports one death, 152 fresh cases in last 24 hours

Srinagar, Jul 18: Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 152 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the number of active cases to 1149 e besides that one death was reported in the last 24 hours.

An official  said that among 152 new cases, 67 belong to Kashmir division while as 85 to Jammu division.

He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 288,898 including 285,978 recoveries and 2,425 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 168,286 including 165,307 recoveries and 2,334 deaths.

He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1140 including 495 from Kashmir division and 645 from Jammu division.

With 55 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 451,275 which is 98.70 percent of the total cases.

“Among the fresh 152 cases today, 57 are from Srinagar, 05 from Baramulla, 02 each from Pulwama and Anantnag and one from Budgam in Kashmir division while 84 are from Jammu division that include 67 from Jammu district, 11 from Udhampur, 04 from Kuthua, 03 each from Samba , two from Poonch and one from Doda ,” said the official.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,597,358 persons in J&K are under observation while 308 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 1140 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 6,590,739 persons have completed the surveillance period and 412 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 25,949,959 samples are available.

“Out of 25,949,959 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,492,774 while 457,184 have tested positive, among them 1140 cases are active, 451,285 have recovered and 4,759 persons have died,” it added.
