Srinagar, July 17: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti Sunday said that her sister Rubaiya Sayeed was able to identify JKLF chief Yasin Malik even after 32 years as he had been in the public domain.

Talking to media persons, the PDP chief said that Rubaiya Sayeed was called as a witness to identify someone. “She had to go. Yasin Malik had been in public domain and was easy to identify him,” she said.

She futher said that 32 years is long time, people forget a lot of things. “She could not identify anyone else. She did her duty as per law,” she said.

About elections, she said that she does not find the election environment favorable because the new laws are being used in Jammu and Kashmir through which they want to wipe out the existence including jobs, land, identify of the people here kns
