Jammu, Dec 18: Many areas in Jammu region Saturday reeled under darkness in view of the strike called by the employees of Power Development Department (PDD) against government’s plans of privatization of the department.

Witnesses said that in most of the districts of Jammu province, the entire staff of PDD including Engineers, daily wagers, need base workers, linemen went on a strike.

They said that due to the strike, power supply in areas in most of the Jammu districts got affected with over seventy percent areas in Rajouri district and Poonch d district witnessing complete power breakdown due to possible snags. kno
