Anantnag, Nov 13: Forest Protection Force Kokernag on Saturday Evening claimed to have seized illicit timber in Zalangam Village of Kokernag range in Anantnag forest division.

An official said that after receiving specific inputs of timber smuggling, a party lead by Forest Protection Force Kokernag succeeded in seizure of 41 Cubic Feet illicit timber in Zalangam Village of Kokernag range in Anantnag forest division.

The timber in question, as per the official, was dumped in Zalangam Kokernag.

Further action in this regard will follow accordingly, the official added. gns
