Cop, Civilian sustain splinter injuries after militants toss grenade in old city

 

Srinagar, Nov 1: A policeman on leave and a civilian were injured in a grenade blast at Aali masjid Eidgah in central Kashmir’s Srinagar on Wednesday

Official sources said that suspected militants hurled grenade near CRPF’s 161 battalion camp, injuring a policeman who was in civvies and one leave besides civilian.

The civilian identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat (41) son of Gulam Nabi Bhat of Hawal and the policeman, Sajad Ahmad Bhat of Narwara Eidgah, were shifted to SHMS hospital.

As per the sources, the civilian has injury in left side of face and left arm while the policeman has suffered injuries in left foot. “Their condition is stable,” they said. gns
