US Deputy Secretary of State to meet Foreign Secretary of India today

Delhi: US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman will meet Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla in New Delhi today to review the India-US bilateral agenda and outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the US, the All India Radio (AIR) reported.

Sherman arrived in New Delhi yesterday on a three-day visit to India. They will also exchange views on regional issues pertaining to South Asia and the Indo-Pacific region and contemporary global issues. Sherman and Shringla will also participate in a special session of the India-Ideas Summit today organised by the US India Business Council, reports said

Sherman will also call on External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The Ministry of External Affairs said, Sherman’s visit will be a useful opportunity to continue the regular dialogue and further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
