Srinagar, September 11: Police on Saturday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers along with narcotic substances in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

In a statement the police said that during routine patrolling at Hanjiwera Pattan, Baramulla Police under the supervision of Zaffar Mahdi-JKPS, SDPO Pattan assisted by Inspr. Nisar Ahmad, SHO PS Pattan arrested two drug peddlers namely Abdul Rasheed Lone son of Mohd Subhan Lone resident of Hanjiweera Bala and Sayar Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rahman Bhat resident of Wagum Pulwama and recovered 20 grams of Brown Sugar like substance and weighing instrument from their possession. Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation set in motion.

The statement further stated that general People of District Baramulla hails the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of Drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship. gns
