Poonch, Aug 13: A Defence Security Corps (DSC) soldier ended his life by shooting himself with service rifle in Kalakote area of Rajouri, officials said.

They said that at 1800 hour, the soldier Nike Joginder Paul, posted at Air Force Radar unit Salyar Chhatta, (Kalakote) committed suicide by shooting himself by his service rifle.

A police officer confirmed and said that investigation have been launched to ascertained cause for him taking the extreme step. gns
