Mobile internet suspended in Sopore as gunfight is going on

Sopore, Jul 22: The mobile internet services have been suspended in Sopore on Thursday evening as a precautionary measures in wake of the encounter underway in Warpora village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

According to sources the gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Warpora area of Sopore.

A joint team of Police, Army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF 179,177 and 92 launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.

A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of fire between forces and militants.

Meanwhile, the mobile internet services have been suspended in Sopore as a precautionary measure. kno
